We focus on a combination of online learning and blended working forms. Most courses are available in an online format. There are only 2 on-site activities where your physical attendance is required: (1) 5 days at Ostend, Belgium (10-14 January 2022) within the framework of the course ‘Emerging Issues in the Blue Economy’, and (2) 4 days at Galway, Ireland (5-8 September 2022) within the framework of the course ‘The Blue Economy in Practice’. You are also required to do a 10-week internship within the framework of the course ‘Research or Business Internship in the Blue Economy’. This internship can be completed in Belgium, Ireland or another country upon your preference.

This postgraduate program is a combination of online learning with blended working forms, which makes it possible to combine this course with a professional career. Your physical attendance is only required during our opening event at Ostend, Belgium (10-14 January 2022) and during our closing event at Galway, Ireland (5-8 September 2022). In addition you can complete your 10-week internship with your current employer, provided that the company is active within one of the marine sectors. Agreement of your supervisor and mentor is required.
